Camp Description
(printable flyer)
The Red Clay Theatre is proud to present our first Summer Drama Camp. Beginning on June 2nd and continuing week-to-week, with a non-repeating format, through August 8th, we'll be offering a high quality performing arts enrichment program.
Our mission is to provide fun, high-quality interactive theater classes that enliven imaginations, get kids working together and instill a lifelong love of theater in our children.
Students will learn the fundamentals of acting while developing techniques in voice, movement and imagination to reach acting objectives and develop characters. Students will also explore: the origins of theater, how to audition for a play, how to prepare a monologue for an audition, what goes on backstage, including lighting and sets, playing with improvisation and the grand finale at the end of each week – campers will learn and rehearse a performance to be showcased on-stage for family and friends!
All campers will enjoy:
- Air conditioned theater and classrooms
- Lunchroom facilities with refrigerator and kitchen (campers bring bagged lunch, snack and drink daily)
- All classes taught by mature, gifted and nurturing drama specialists
All Camps are Full-Day Programs: 9:00am-3:00pm
Tuition: $155.00 per week
